At the end of the antics we got into in 20 minutes of Magic and Mayhem, I gave Beth a hug and she whispered in my ear “you will never know the gift you just gave me”

We had laughed for 20 minutes.

Cinqo de Mayo Party
I have the most amazing job of doing magic at birthday parties!  So many small and not so small things happen in the course of performing a party. This space is going to be used for celebrating the moments.

Yesterday I was out at a Cinqo de Mayo party  for the Mexican community at the Latin Fitness Ztudio (www.latinfitnessztudio.com) at 5595 Kingsway Ave in Burnaby. What a crowd! What a great space! Tons of people. It’s loud and tons of activity. Tons of kids and adults. Great Festivities put on by Maggie Garcia. At the end of my magic show, Maggie requests a picture of me with all the children (30 plus) so we gather them all together, and organize them. I have one who wants on my lap, one so close on the side I think she’s in my pocket, another, seeing all the prime places are gone, wants just to stand in front of me and block everything. I get her to my other side. Last minute I get handed a baby, little fellow maybe 7 months old. The whole picture taking event, this little guy just looked at me. When I started leaning in to touch my sponge nose to his little nose the cutest and smallest little smile came across his lips. So sweet.

Of course I try to say good bye to a good number of the children just to complete the interaction with them. I don’t like when people vanish without letting me know they are going. So I go around and hand out high fives or handshakes or hugs, whatever the kids wants. One little guy, very dapper looking in a vest and white shirt, the dad wanted a picture so I knelt down, he (the son not the dad) hopped on my knee and then threw his arms around me my neck for one of the biggest and longest hugs I have ever gotten. How incredible is that?  All that love and they pay me too !!! I told you I have an incredible job.
